Divorce with a conscience and next chapters built with intention.

You’ve heard the horror stories and now you are living it. But it doesn’t have to be that way and you don’t have to do it alone. Work with me to boldly re-imagining what separation, divorce, co-parenting, re-marriage, and/or blending mean to your children, your relationships and your family.

Areas of Support

Specialized care for divorce, co-parenting and blended families.

Hi, I’m Alex Wenzel. I help relationships end well and blended families thrive.

I provide therapy for relationship endings that leave us in one piece.  And therapy for next chapters built consciously. I work with couples, families and parents at the most crucial junctions of a family’s life: in the midst of separation, divorce, re-marriage, and blending families and co-parenting. When our relationships end, no one wants to live through the trauma of the legal system, personal betrayal, financial crisis, or the lasting impact on the well-being of our children as well as ourselves.  But so many of us do because we don’t have the support or roadmap to do it differently.

And soon after that, we start off on our own as single parents or decide to remarry and begin blending families and step-parenting.  We are soon blindsided again by the constant conflict and heartache that we had hoped was behind us. No one explains to us how incredibly hard it is to be a single parent or to try and blend our kids and families with another. We feel like a failure (again), lost, broken-hearted and alone.

“When your life as you know it falls apart, it’s an incredible opportunity to wake up to your life and this world. Part of you knows that or you wouldn’t have landed here, reading this page. My approach is built around the union of family systems theory with mindfulness, meditation and consciousness.”

It doesn’t have to be like this if we do things consciously and intentionally.  Relationships can end well.  Co-parents can really be partners that still love and care for their children together. New families can form that are stronger and more connected than the last.

I built the support I wish we would have had to navigate these junctions in ways that protect children and maintain the relationships and the support our families desperately need in the long run. And now I offer them to you.
